the April 13th lawsuit against Napster, internationally renowned recording artists
Metallica is taking its message of copyright protection directly to fans in a
live open forum on May 2nd at 5PM PST. Fans can post questions to Lars, James
and Jason beginning 30 minutes prior to the chat by visiting www.artistdirect.com/metallica
or http://chat.yahoo.com. Metallica
has brought a copyright infringement and racketeering suit against Napster, a
MP3-sharing software company.
Metallica stated, "We recognize that this is a very complicated issue with larger implications that our fans may not completely understand. We've always valued and respected our fans and wanted to discuss with them directly why we have brought this suit and answer their questions and address their concerns directly."
