Chime Interactive provides its clients with discounted hosting services from its server farm. Chime hosts over 200 web sites and is currently accepting new hosting-only clients on a referral-basis only.

The following services are available as part of Chime's hosting package:

• Web Hosting - hosting of web site(s), including a suite of automated tools (see list below), web site usage analysis and statistics, support for MySQL, Php, mod_perl, etc.

  The Chime Content Management Suite is included in all hosting accounts. Users log into a secure control panel and update information through web forms which can then be incorporated into their web site, enabling dynamic real-time content. The basic hosting package includes the following tools:

  • Tour dates
  • News (& multiple posting boards)
  • Photo gallery
  • Biography
  • Releases (CDs, vinyl, tape with track listings and links to purchase)
  • Link manager (to manage lists of links to other web sites)
  • Mailing list web gateway
  • Client list (artist roster, etc)

  The advanced Content Management Suite includes:

  • Chime List Manager (for managing mailing lists)
  • Chime Store Manager (E-commerce)
  • Flyer and poster PDF generator

  Web statistics and Web mail is also included in all hosting accounts.

• DNS Hosting - hosting of dns zone files for all clients' domain names is included at no additional cost.

• Email Hosting - hosting of email (POP3/IMAP) is included at no cost (additional costs may be required for a large number of accounts). Email forwarding to other email addresses is free (any number). Advanced mailing lists, vacation messaging, and spam filters (procmail, TMDA, etc) are available upon request.

• E-Commerce Hosting - hosting of an online store for clients who wish to process and fulfill their own orders, this secure online store provides a way to receive customer orders and is remotely administered through simple web forms (uploading of new sku items, retrieving placed orders, etc).

• Domain Name Registration - Chime is an OpenSRS domain name reseller which allows us to register domain names more affordably than larger institutions such as Network Solutions or Register.com. For more information, click here.
