all right, so you thought last month's letter was stretching things a bit,
wait until you get a load of this one. this month we've been stretched
thin on the gig frontline, we're a bit weak on the interesting gossip side
attack, and general attempts at humor may be our final downfall. so, give us
a break this month, we deserve it ...
*IN THIS ISSUE*
- the *UPCOMING GIG* hotline
- personal dirt about the band
- new music bulletin
- closing statement
the *UPCOMING GIG* hotline
ok, this is the big time. we're playing in a big place. that means it can
hold a lot of people. what does that mean? well, it makes our usual
mighty crowd look smaller! so this is the time to come on down and support

build a good following and you'll be able to see us (and all of the great
other sc bands) there in the future.

personal dirt about the band
the real dirt these days is that i am being a horrible bandmate. i've
become overweight, i smoke incessently, and i've taken to slicking my
hair back with about a quart of recycled 30wt oil left over from the
last time i did an oil change in my bug. i'm seriously considering tracking
down a woman named pricilla to marry, and sequins are looking more and
more appealing each day.
rob had a birthday this past weekend and we celebrated it in grand style,
surprising him by faking a band practice and instead having a bbq with a
"this is your life" flash of friends from the past. of course, this is
mostly hearsay, since i didn't arrive until late, as usual, despite it
being held at my house.
glenn and sean... well, they both attended rob's birthday party. hows
that for astonishing news? other than that, they're rumored to be hanging
out with sean penn, punching out gossip reporters.
new music bulletin

closing statement
not too many huge things in summary this month, other than some news
regarding those who have WWW internet access and have been checking out
our home page. i've finally moved my machine out of my old house (echo st)
and the new name for it is klinzhai.iuma.com, the new URL for the eden
retread home page being:
as usual, if you know of anyone who wishes to be added to the eden retread
online mailing list, please have them mail me (jonl@hal.com) and i'll take
care of 'em right away. (no, i *don't* mean kill them and dispose of the
body).
ta ta,
--jon, for the rest of the boyz in za band
